Front Assembly

When the front assembly is attached to the seat and axle assemblies with the union fittings a triangular arrangement is formed which stabilizes the entire unit and makes it rigid.

Parts needed for the front assembly:
“T” fittings 3 ea
10 inch pipes 2 ea
24 inch Pipes 3 ea
Coupling fittings 2 ea
1 inch pipes 2 ea
1/2 union fittings 3 ea

Notes:

The 1/2 union fittings labeled B and C are the other half of the union fittings shown in the seat and axle assembly drawings.

The ends of the “T” fittings marked D are the attachment points for the shaft assemblies which are described in a later drawing.

The outside 24 inch pipes of the front assembly are the hypotenuse of the triangle. These pipes must be longer than the center one. Use a coupling fitting and a 1 inch pipe to add the needed length.

The outside 24 inch pipes must be angled downward to meet the pipes coming from the axle.

Assembly can be done in any order. Follow the drawing. When the assembly is complete attach the union assemblies B and C to the seat and axle assemblies to complete the basic cart assembly.
