Chapter Eleven: After the Festival and into the Future

At one year from Deborah becoming a pony owner she reviewed the year and marveled at her emergence, and still thrilled, to be an owner of ponies for recreation and profit. Stoney, of course, was the apple of her eye for his attractive appearance, conditioning, and full adaptation to being a pony. Certainly everyone knew he longed for his freedom and a return to human status periodically but he did acknowledge in many ways that he was a pony and stallion at the behest of his owner. He enjoyed the attention she showed him as a pony and while he understood that she was responsible for his being made into a pony he had lost all resentments. When Deborah was around he got lots of individual attention that mitigated his human boredom thoughts, for some reason he could not understand he relished showing off his pony conditioning and behavior, and also he had learned that sometimes when Deborah was around he was presented a mare to cover and mount which was very physically and emotionally satisfying. Never again would he date a woman and strategize about how to get her into bed because now periodically he mated with a pony girl, who obliged her animal instincts through training and indoctrination, and he could respond to his stallion instincts and pony think with his cock.

Butter dropped her foal on time and with minimal fuss despite being terrified and degraded by the experience. At a month after breeding she intuitively knew she was pregnant and that renewed her feelings of dread that occurred at her capture, breaking and training. The herd understood her emotional distress and rallied to her with emotional support that eventually helped her cope with her predicament. She hated and loved the memory of her breeding conceding that she had indeed enjoyed it, from an animal response stance, but wondered where it would eventually lead her. The revelation in her fifth month was that she would always be a brood mare and her expanding belly would be her normal state. Butter had been fitted with an adjustable harness which had a lower belly strap that could be let out as her pregnancy continued. Her exercise routine was less strenuous as her time approached and the one true benefit was that after the fifth month she did not sport a tail plug up her anus as it might interfere with her physical state. The day arrived and at the feeding station her water broke soaking her legs and the ground at her feet. Janice, the groom that day, used the barn page phone and set in motion a vet alert as Jo quickly showed up. Taking Butter to the medical examination room they determined her readiness and contraction rate while Butter was placed in a swinging harness with knees drawn up high. Three hours later and a beautiful blond boy was born, washed and assessed for healthiness, and whisked away to a predetermined location where the adoption agency took custody and prepared to present him to his new parents.

Butter endured this with no painkillers and no human partner coaching --- this was not a young woman giving new life or being part of couple. She was an animal, a brood mare, and this was the business end of being mated with the stallion. Dr. Bob stitched up her slightly torn vagina, disinfected the mare's female parts, and she was sequestered in a recovery stall for two days. The grooms kept her fed and watered while giving her encouragement to get back on her feet and when she did they simply returned her to the herd where her more personal support occurred. Of course her udders were swollen and sore which caused plenty of physical and emotional discomfort but then she was introduced to the milking room where she was tied off at a milking station. Her first introduction to milking made her very nervous as her teats were sanitized then placed into suction cups surrounded by a clear rubber cover that enveloped each udder. Then a machine was turned on and suction pressure was applied to her teats which after a few minutes began to excrete a watery white liquid that drained into tubing and was carried away. Her first milk contribution was small but as the days wore on her production grew until she could produce a pint at every milking. She both loved and hated milking because her teats grew very sensitive and irritated but she always wanted the swollen udders emptied to give her some time of comfort before they swelled again. She would be kept as a milker for four to five months before her milk production was medicinally halted and she was readied for her next breeding.

It became of little thought about Butter by Deborah after the initial breeding because of her interest in Stoney but as the pregnancy progressed and Deborah eyed the progress with Butter her view changed. She no longer had any burning hatred for Butter because now she was a pony girl and Deborah viewed her as such losing her thoughts of her as a murdering bent slut. So Deborah took more interest in her training, conditioning, and even at times groomed Butter and with no hesitation washed every part of her with gentleness out of an owner's concern. Butter was a mare but she was Deborah's mare.

Then of course there was the second mare to Deborah's herd who had been named Mexie for no particular reason. The young girl had broken hard and resisted for almost five weeks before finally submitting emotionally to her pony training. She was not particularly strong mentally but understood the stakes while grasping the situation --- "give in and its over girl, they have you, and look around --- you will be a pony girl! Yes that cane hurts a lot but I can't give in!" The training and conditioning, both physical and emotionally, wore her down and one day she spent a whole day not needing any negative reinforcement and then spent successive days adapting as a pony girl.

Mexie broke because of several factors related to her conditioning and training. As a form of coping she learned to stop her directed human thinking as it caused her emotional discomfort and despair. Thoughts of escape or rescue led to depression that could not be abated so better to stop thinking about how to get away only to slam into the reality that it could not happen. She escaped mentally into being more animal instinctive and adjusting her behavior to that of the herd. Bunch together in the shade when in the corral, help swish the insects away, learn pony communication of grunts and whinnies, and respond to training and routine. Boredom methodically and relentless took away her human intellect while her developing pony personality behavior filled the void. She started losing all concept of a human world outside the confines of the ranch with no access to television, radio, or internet. As a woman she was conditioned to constantly assess her looks but as a pony there were no mirrors to look into to check her hair, makeup, or clothes. Collared, harnessed, and bitted with the attached binders at the sides of her she could only look at the other pony girls and guess her appearance. Her hands being restricted from use she had to rely on what she could see and feel to understand what she was as a pony girl. She was branded, tailed head and rump, bottom inner lip tattoo'd, and her nose ringed to control her. As her pony personality got stronger against her weakening human one she regained her spiritness but now as a pony girl.

At four months of pony life Mexie was astonished by the appearance in the corral of large pony boy who cut her out of the brood mare herd and dominated her for a few minutes. Her response was naturally fearful but deep down she responded to his interest and exhibited interest back. Then of course she was taken to the railing outside the corral and learned that this pony boy was a stallion. In time she was at eight months and her belly was swollen with a foal and showing that she nearing her time.

Life at the SS ranch continued for many years and Mrs. Whittingham acquired ownership when Sheldon contracted cancer and sold out shortly before his death. She made Rhonda and Jo junior partners to ensure their continued connection to the ranch and to reward them for their skills in breaking and training ponies. Through the years Deborah established and maintained a herd of brood mares and earned an underground reputation among certain people as someone who could provide a unique form of revenge and justice for cheating spouses. Rhonda and Jo just loved these types of new ponies as they were so satisfying to break and train.
