I PREVIEW A PARADE
FROM EVERY ANGLE

Tomorrow, from each breast will dangle
A golden triangular bangle;
        When the whip makes me trot,
        I pray that I'll not
Let them jangle themselves in a tangle.

But surely my bangles will tangle
And ruin their lyrical jangle;
        And so Master will see
        That the next time I'll be
Festooned with bells -- all he can wrangle!
